So we decided it would be as stress free as possible entering the mode of babymaking again if we started to try while we were on vacation. I would be ovulating smack in the middle of our trip so we decided that would be as good a time as any to let the games begin.
We got to our Fripp Island vacation house and the front door doesn't lock. It locks from the outside but there is no way to keep our 2 year old escape artist from getting out from the inside of the house. Panicked by her love for the beach, only a few steps away, I decided I didn't feel safe leaving her in a room of her own where I couldn't turn the doorknobs around in order to lock her in all night. So we moved her mattress to the floor of our room...
Not exactly a "game on" set up!
So we will wait again. I am hoping that I will still feel as brave this time next month as I did heading out for our vacation. I hope I am up for all the downsides as well as the upsides to trying a few weeks from now. But I have to admit, my courage feels wobbly...
